FILE 2015 Call for Entries Registrations are opened to the 16th edition of FILE – Electronic Language International Festival, from November 7, 2014 to January 15, 2015. The FILE SP 2015 exhibition will happen in June 2015, at the Sesi-SP’s Art Gallery in Centro Cultural Fiesp – Ruth Cardoso. Since 2000 FILE is a non-profit cultural organization that has been promoting exhibitions, workshops and gatherings that seek to investigate the appropriations of the technologic media in artistic accomplishments. With annual exhibitions in São Paulo, editions in Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, in addition to participations in international events, FILE is the biggest digital art event in Latin America. For 2015, artists and researchers can submit their works in three main categories – Interactive Art, Digital Language and Electronic Sonority – with all the animations enrolled in Digital Language competing for the FILE Anima+ Award. Registrations are also opened for FILE Led Show, which is a proposal of public art that seeks public interaction with the large Led panel located on the Fiesp building’s façade, at Paulista Avenue, 1313. Take part in the second international emerging artist award in digital art! Entries close Monday 12 May 2014 at 12am (France Time). The Prix Cube rewards the best digital artwork created by an artist under the age of 36. The purpose of this award is to highlight and support work by an emerging artist in the international digital art scene.
The Prix Cube will be awarded to a digital artwork less than 2 years old in the following areas: interactivity, generativity, network, internet and mobility. The artworks must be innovative installations or systems which explore the characteristics of digital technology in art (excluding live shows, video art and photography).
Five artworks will be shortlisted and exhibited to the public during an exhibition at the Espace Saint-Sauveur in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Grand Paris Seine Ouest, France) from 26 to 30 November 2014. In collaboration with the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, STEIM, Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ and EYE, Sonic Acts will host a series of masterclasses as part of this year’s festival – The Dark Universe.
The masterclasses provide a unique opportunity for artists, musicians and other creative professionals to work with five internationally renowned artists. In a concentrated and intimate setting, participants will gain insight into the artists’ concepts, work processes, and methods of composition, production and research through hands-on workshops, discussions, and seminars.

iNTERFACES is an Interactive Art Competition organized by the Research Center for Science and Technology of the Arts (CITAR), whose greater purpose is to value contemporary artistic practice in the areas of digital and interactive arts, thus contributing to further its development.
All types of work in the areas of Digital or Interactive Arts can be submitted. Submissions in the following areas will be considered: - Interactive audiovisual installation - Interactive Sound Installation - Web Art - Electronic Art - Interactive or augmented Architecture - Interactive Dance or Performance - Interactive Film or Video - Hypertext and Hyper Narrative - Virtual and augmented Reality
Submissions must be turned in until the 31st March 2013.
